Search for the harbour, not just the island
List and Hörnum are different departure harbours on Sylt. The name “Sylt” alone is not enough to plan your arrival. Compare the specific station in your offer with your booking confirmation. A trip starting in Hörnum cannot simply be boarded at List.
Separate a cruise from an island visit
Adler-Schiffe offers nature and experience cruises as well as outings to other islands and Halligen. Check whether you remain aboard or have time ashore. An island visit requires a workable outward and return connection; an attractive outward sailing alone is not a complete day plan.
Make the harbour journey part of your plan
Choose a departure point partly by how you will reach it from your accommodation. Check current bus services or driving arrangements and allow for walking to the berth. If you want a beach walk afterwards, base it around the return harbour. This avoids another cross-island journey for a short extra activity.
Choose an outing that suits your group
For families, a shorter trip with a clear return may work better than a packed island-hopping itinerary. Weatherproof clothing and binoculars help with nature watching. Before booking, check the vessel, mobility-aid arrangements and included services. Wildlife appearances depend on nature and cannot be guaranteed.
Common questions
Can I board at another harbour on Sylt?
Only if your booked offer explicitly includes that boarding point. The specific harbour on your ticket is what matters.
